Scott Mishina (Co-Owner) started out as a fine arts student at the Academy of Arts in San Francisco, then moved back to his native Hawaii where he began hairstyling. His love for San Francisco brought him back to the city, where he continued training at Architects and Heroes. If you don't find him at the Salon, he's either traveling or deeply engrossed in a discussion about food.

Andrea Cwynar (Co-Owner) took an interest in visual arts at a very early age. In 1991 she began an extensive apprenticeship with a group of formally trained Sassoon based stylists. This also led her to her many travels to various schools in the US and UK. Eight years later she made her way to San Francisco and became a stylist at JungleRed Salon. Inspired by traveling the globe, and a desire to create, she is a seasoned stylist with a range of expertise and knowledge.

Alandria Sheffer (Stylist) is a native of Las Vegas. Looking to define her craft to higher level, she moved to San Francisco. At Jungle Red, she would start an apprenticeship program with owners Scott and Andrea, Followed by a mix of advanced training. In 2008 alone, she has been immersed in education, from Bumble and Bumble in New York City to Vidal Sassoon in San Francisco. Also including Wella Studio Academy, San Francisco, and DPT Photo Session's. When her work is done, you can find her loving her dog moco, playing keyboards, riding her bike, painting or drinking coffee.

Danielle Medina's (Stylist) love for hair was questioned at a very young age when she would be found cutting her doll's hair. As her age progressed so did her own hair styles. There was only one answer to these natural talents; finally, she enrolled in at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica. Not only did she complete her cosmetology course, she earned one of the best educations for hair styling, in the world. After school, she worked for Carlton Hair, where besides working as a stylist, she became an educator for the assistants. She is still a child at heart and still has that love for hair. When she isn't working she can be found outdoors, at the beach or snowboarding.

Lucas Ringhofer (Stylist) Beginning in the late 90's, Lucas started his career in hairdressing while assisting behind the scene at fashion shows and on editorial photo shoots. After completing Beauty School, Lucas continued with his education as an assistant at Renaissance Salon in SF's Pacific Heights, where he worked for 10 years perfecting his craft and developing his eye for color and styling. Today, Lucas's passion for art, fashion and beauty translates into his love for hair, focusing on short edgy styles to long languid locks with bright vibrant colors or natural looking highlights.

Jennifer Torres (Junior Stylist) is native San Franciscan. Jennifer was happy to return to her hometown after attending school in Santa Barbara and living in NYC. After graduating from the SF Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology, she started her career assisting in a Downtown Union Square salon and then completed her training here in the Castro at Jungle Red. She has continued her education with classes at Vidal Sassoon and plans to attend Bumble U. in NYC. Her obsession with hair and love of meeting people have kept her focused on her goal of becoming a hairstylist and is now Jungle Red's newest junior stylist. Jenn loves vintage boutique shopping, traveling to new cities and experiencing new foods.

Sarah Thomas (Front Desk Coordinator) joined the Jungle Red team in February 2010 and has thoroughly enjoyed working in such a creative environment. Having studied Fashion Design, she finds hair styling to be an extension of one's personal style and loves to see the the transformation each client has as they enter and leave the salon. In her time off Sarah is usually sewing, thrift-store shopping, listening to music, or visiting an art museum.
